Disopan 1 Tablet contains Clonazepam which belongs to the group of medicines known as Benzodiazepines. It is used to manage seizure disorder (epilepsy) in adults and children and panic disorder with or without fear of open spaces (agoraphobia) in adults.
Epilepsy is a common condition affecting the brain and causes frequent fits or seizures (bursts of electrical activity in the brain). Symptoms include uncontrollable jerking or shaking, loss of consciousness, or collapse. Panic disorder is characterized by sudden occurrence of panic attacks or fear.
During the therapy with Disopan 1 Tablet, your doctor may conduct a blood test to determine liver function. Do not consume alcohol while taking Disopan 1 Tablet as it may provoke seizures or fits and may worsen side effects which may possibly lead to severe sedation.

Disopan 1mg Tablet belongs to benzodiazepines, which enhance the activity of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) an inhibitory neurotransmitter (a chemical in the brain).
CNS depression is the most common. Drowsiness, ataxia, behavior problems, abnormal eye movements, among others.
Oral: The initial dose for adults with seizures should not exceed 1.5 mg/day. For panic disorder, start with 0.25 mg twice daily. Increase gradually. Pediatric dosing based on weight.
Does not alter phenytoin, carbamazepine, or phenobarbital pharmacokinetics. Other drug interactions not well studied.
Hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines, significant liver disease, acute narrow-angle glaucoma.
Risk of congenital malformations; use in pregnancy only if benefits outweigh risks. Passes into breast milk; breastfeeding is not recommended.
Increased incidence of generalized tonic-clonic seizures may occur. Caution with valproic acid use. Pay attention to airway patency in pediatric use. Greater pharmacologic effects in elderly patients.
Store in a dry place away from light and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
